Little Spartans at Agoge Martial Arts
At Agoge Martial Arts we believe that it is very important to instill core values in our kids like focus, confidence, self-discipline, and self-control at a young age. We strive to help each individual child receive the best training we can offer. Our Little Spartans class includes basic striking techniques, take down and take down defensive techniques, and basic ground fighting techniques.
We also hone other skills as well. Some of these include agility and balance through exercises involving shoulder rolls, cartwheels, and hand stands. We also do scenario training where we learn how to act and react to specific situations and how to keep ourselves safe.
But we like to have fun!! After a good class we love to play a game or two or have some friendly competition. Come see what we do at our Little Spartans class!

Friday Night Fights
Congratulations to Nick Crawford and Zach Randall for their wins at the OFC on April 10!
Nick started his match with some good punching combos, and then the fighters clinched and hit the ground. Once they started grappling, Nick took control and maneuvered his way to back control. He quickly got his hooks in and sank the rear naked choke to win the fight. Way to go Nick!
Zach's fight was just as entertaining! After a few punching exchanges, he took his opponent down with force. After a couple of position changes on the ground, Zach's superior wrestling skills prevailed as he punched his way to a TKO. Great work Zach!
Both Nick and Zach have been training hard at The Agoge, and they plan on fighting again soon. Keep up the good work!

Jerad Berry In Action!
Welcome Jerad Berry! Jerad has been having some great classes lately. He has been covering a lot of distance closing techniques, with take downs and ground fighting tactics.

Welcome to Agoge Martial Arts!
This blog post is for Agoge gym members and martial arts enthusiasts!
We have a lot of exciting things happening at Agoge right now! Our new instructors Greg James and Jerad Berry have been sharing their wisdom with us for a few weeks now. These guys are amazing! They bring such a well balanced training program that really covers a lot of ground.
On top of the new Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques we have been learning, we have spent a lot of time in the clench position working on take downs and take down defense. Some of these new moves are amazing. I love the throws!
Greg James is preparing for the Sabaki Tournament in Denver on the 18th. In case you're not familiar with it, its a bare knuckle karate tournament for high level fighters only. The best of the best! Good luck Greg!!
We've seen a lot of new students recently, which is fantastic! Our training sessions keep getting better and better with more people to train with! We are hoping to expand to the next bay over within the next few months. With all the support we've been having from our students and all the new people coming in, we are hoping to finish the expansion before the fall!
Thanks to everybody who has helped and continues to support us in being the best dojo in Omaha! See you at class!
